Khaberni - The Internal Security Directorate in the Ghab region of Hama Governorate in Syria announced the arrest of the aforementioned Riad Rahhal, after a video circulated on social media showing him uttering offensive phrases against the Divine and the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, acts that are criminalized by the law and expose the perpetrator to accountability.
The individual was detained and referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal proceedings in preparation for presenting him to the competent judiciary accordingly.
The Internal Security Directorate also confirmed its ongoing monitoring of any violations or content that could undermine religious values or disturb public order, emphasizing that it will take legal action against anyone proven to be involved in such offenses.
