Khaberni - The inspection and control teams of the General Food and Drug Corporation, through its branches spread in various regions, carried out 244 inspection campaigns on food facilities on Monday.
The institution explained in a press statement that the field tours resulted in issuing 74 warnings and suspending four facilities from operating, in addition to closing two facilities with red wax for violating the approved health conditions.
The institution added that its inspection teams seized 78 tons of food materials and destroyed 1190 kg of expired materials, in addition to withdrawing 62 samples of circulated food as part of the general monitoring programs to analyze them in the institution's laboratories to ensure their safety.
