The Criminal Court in Alexandria, Egypt, decided to refer the documents of an accused gardener working at an international school to the Grand Mufti, to seek the religious legal opinion on his execution after he was convicted of sexually assaulting 4 children within the school premises.
The Criminal Court in Alexandria issued a decision to refer the accused's documents for assaulting a number of students at a famous international school to the Grand Mufti of the Egyptian Diocese to express the religious legal opinion on the death penalty, with the sentencing hearing set for the first of February.
The events of the case go back to the receipt by the Montaza Second Police Department of complaints from four families accusing a gardener at the school of physically assaulting their children within the school's garden.
Preliminary investigations showed that the accused was involved in the assault of three girls and a boy.
After taking the necessary legal measures, the security forces arrested him, a report was filed regarding the incident, and it was referred to the prosecution which initiated the investigations leading to the court's decision to refer his documents to the Grand Mufti.
