Trump Europe is heading in bad directions

Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Europe again on Monday, saying it is heading "in some bad directions."

During an event with farmers at the White House, Trump said, "Europe is heading in some bad directions. This is very bad, very bad for the people." He added that the United States does not want "Europe to change too much," without specifying exactly what he meant.

He continued, "Europe needs to be very careful in many things."

Initially responding to a journalist's question about the hefty fine imposed by the European Commission on the social media platform X, Trump said, "This is harsh," noting that he would comment further after being provided with all the details of the case, before moving on to his general criticism of Europe.

In the National Security Strategy document published by the U.S. administration on Thursday, the administration expressed concern about what it described as a loss of democracy and freedom of speech in Europe.

The document mentioned that Europe faces significant problems, including, according to the administration's view, "censorship of freedom of speech, suppression of political opposition, declining birth rates, and a loss of national identities and self-confidence."
