Khaberni - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the patience of the oppressed in Palestine will be crowned with victory, and freedom and peace will prevail.
This statement was made during a speech on Tuesday, delivered at an event titled "Strong Turkey for Humanity," held in the capital Ankara by the ruling Justice and Development Party.
At the beginning of his speech, Erdoğan expressed his hope that the event, organized to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948, would serve as a force for good.
He greeted the Palestinians in Gaza and the people of Sudan, saying, "I salute all the oppressed, from Africa to Asia, whose suffering we recognize, even if they are far from us."
He added: "I respectfully salute my Palestinian brothers, and the noble, proud, resilient, and cherished struggle of the Palestinian people."
The Turkish president recalled the suffering of the Palestinian people for decades, the loss of their relatives and children, and the destruction of their homes.
He said: "The Palestinian people, whose lives and land have been taken, will live safely in their homeland, and no filthy or cunning plan will be able to stop this."
He affirmed that Palestine will witness victory just as Syria did on December 8, 2024, with the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
Erdoğan emphasized that both the government and people of Turkey stand by the Palestinians in their ongoing struggle.
He continued: "Without a doubt, an independent and sovereign Palestinian state will be established, with East Jerusalem as its capital."
And he confirmed Turkey’s stance with the oppressed by saying, "Wherever there is oppression, we stand by the oppressed and against the oppressor."
Regarding Turkey’s role in the region, he added: "I say with pride that when the name of Turkey is mentioned, it no longer conjures a country that only protects its borders but a state that builds peace and charts the course of diplomacy."
