Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi conducted a telephone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in the Republic of Barbados, Kerry Symmonds.
Safadi and Symmonds discussed the results of His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to the Republic of Barbados last month during the call, and agreed on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, holding political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Jordan and Barbados, and setting practical steps to build cooperative prospects in various vital sectors including health, water, energy, and tourism.
The ministers discussed regional situations and developments in the Gaza Strip, and Safadi appreciated the Republic of Barbados's recognition of the Palestinian state and its supportive stance towards a two-state solution.
