Monkey kills a man in his home in Thailand

Khaberni - A Thai man was killed after being attacked by a furious wild monkey that bit him to death in his home.

The details presented by the British newspaper "Daily Mail" show that Chaivom Sai-Eyung (63 years old) tried to resist the aggressive macaque that invaded his home in Yala province, Thailand. However, the wild monkey, which had been terrorizing the residents in the area, scratched him repeatedly before biting a piece of his left leg.

Chaivom retreated as he bled and was unable to stand up again; his body was later found leaning against a wall, covered with dozens of bite marks.

His shocked nephew told local media that when he found his uncle, there was a pool of blood on the floor.

The police arrived at the scene and discovered that the man's body was still clinging to a metal bar, believed to have been used in a desperate attempt to fend off the predatory animal. The blood on the ground was dry, and the animal's footprints were clearly visible.

The police found the killer animal perched on the beams, looking at the officers and monitoring them.

The police said in a statement: "We speculate that the man died two to three days ago; because his body was swollen and gave off a foul smell." They added: "We do not believe that any people are involved in the death."

The villagers said that the same monkey had been aggressively roaming the area. It had bitten Chaivom on his shoulder about 10 days before the fatal incident. It also attacked a family, forcing them to flee their home.

The authorities mentioned they were chasing the dangerous animal for the safety of the residents, and had issued a decision to shoot it if encountered.

It is noted that Thailand suffers from a problem of overcrowding of macaque monkeys, which have become more confident, wage group wars on towns, and clash with residents.
