Khaberni - Meteorological specialists said that by the will of God, the kingdom will be affected by the end of the week with a weather depression that has been categorized as third degree (medium-high effectiveness) according to the Arab Weather website's own scale for weather depressions. They indicated that there will be no snowfall during the depression.
The new weather depression is characterized by its sporadic impact on Jordan, occurring at intervals with several interruptions in rain, starting from Wednesday 10/12/2025 until Friday 12/12/2025. However, the total rainfall after it ends will be good by God's will, providing a good boost to the rainy season and the water reserves.
Details of the Depression
By God's will, it is expected on Wednesday 10/12/2025 that the kingdom will be affected by the onset of the weather depression in the form of unstable weather conditions starting from the afternoon hours. The temperatures will drop and the weather will be cold by God’s will. Clouds will multiply at various altitudes, and there will be opportunities for rain showers in several regions of the kingdom, which may be heavy in some areas. This may be accompanied by lightning, thunder, and possibly hail in some areas, leading to significant runoff in valleys and ravines and the formation of sudden floods and water accumulations, including in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea areas.
On Thursday, the kingdom will gradually be affected by a third-degree depression, especially in the afternoon and evening hours. The weather will be cold and gradually turn cloudy with rain, God willing, falling in different regions of the kingdom. This rain can be heavy at times, leading to the flow of valleys and the formation of floods and water accumulations on the roads. The rain will come with low and surface-touching cloud passage, which leads to the formation of dense fog over high mountain elevations.
During Friday, the flow of cold and humid air masses from the Mediterranean will continue, keeping the weather cold with clouds appearing at different altitudes, with rain falling, God willing, in different regions of the kingdom.
Details of the Third-Degree Depression:
Rainfall amounts: from 40 to 100 mm
Wind gusts speed: 50 km/hour
Regions: Most regions
Duration of impact: 60 hours at intervals
Temperature ranges: 10-4 degrees Celsius
Snow: None
Reason for categorizing the depression as third degree
- The rainfall covers most regions of the kingdom, meaning that various provinces and areas will receive good amounts of rain.
- The potential to record large amounts of rain in some regions, which may lead to the flow of valleys and the formation of floods in low-lying areas.
- The noticeable drop in temperatures, which leads to widespread use of heating methods for the first time during the season, reflecting the cold associated with this depression.
