The Ministry of Health, Al-Bashir Hospitals, and Prince Hamzah Hospital have responded to the appeal published by "Khaberni" on behalf of the father of a Jordanian girl, who requested the necessary treatment for his daughter, suffering from kidney health issues and in need of urgent surgical intervention.
The girl's father confirmed to "Khaberni" that the relevant authorities contacted him immediately after the news was published, and medical coordination between the Ministry of Health and government hospitals was arranged to follow up on his daughter’s condition and ensure the completion of her treatment.
In an official response from the Ministry of Health received by Khaberni, it was stated that the father was contacted immediately on Tuesday afternoon. A pediatric surgery consultant at Al-Bashir Hospitals reviewed her condition, and it was found that she suffers from a congenital deformity and urinary reflux from grade four to five, with indications of a neurogenic bladder.
The response also mentioned that the girl had been followed up at the pediatric surgery clinic at Al-Bashir Hospitals for a long time, undergoing several tests and colored images to assess the reflux and kidney function. A Urodynamic Study was recommended to determine the extent of reflux impact on the kidneys and to confirm the presence of a neurogenic bladder.
The ministry clarified that the first review of the girl took place at the pediatric surgery clinic at Al-Bashir Hospitals. However, her guardian later personally went to Prince Hamzah Hospital without an official referral, which contradicts the procedures approved between government hospitals.
The ministry also noted that the last review of the girl was in September, where she was asked to undergo a colored image that was indeed performed, but she did not follow up afterwards, until contact was made with her guardian by phone to coordinate the medical review according to protocol.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the necessary procedures will be completed based on medical needs and official referral protocols.
