Written by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarma:
Here are the teachers' clubs, those luminous roles that sprouted in the land of the country as though they were gardens of light.
They do not resemble buildings that are constructed nor courtyards that are established
but rather resemble homes when they are inhabited by their people, and stations when they are elevated by those who seek them..they are spacious expanses that establish a teacher's worth, restore the elegance of the beginnings to his mission, and open in his heart windows of light befitting his stature.
And here are the coming days bringing new brightenings that add radiance to these clubs, infuse in their joints a wider and more beautiful life, deepen their presence in the teacher's heart, brighten their memory, and make their reality more attached to their ambitions. By God’s will, they shall become pathways of light, fields of giving, and spaces befitting the makers of revival, adorning the teachers with an elegance that suits their status, and drenching their steps with the splendor resembling the splendor of their mission until the club becomes a mirror shining with the light, intellect, and conscience the teacher carries.
Because the teacher is the gem of this nation, his clubs deserve to be gems matching his worth, houses befitting the shade of his mission, and harbors that open their doors to receive him as an honored guest; for the teacher is the balance of the nation's thought, the lantern of its night, the beacon of its day, and the guardian of its inviolable values. Thirty years have passed since these clubs were established in 1995 under King Hussein the builder, may God have mercy on him, thirty luminous years confirming that the time has come for a modern new system that suits the present of education, embraces the aspirations of the teachers, and paints the clubs in an image that aligns with the renaissance of the homeland and its renewed vision. These clubs have covered fourteen clubs across all of Jordan, providing a wide shelter that shades teachers everywhere, granting them one home regardless of the diversity of their cities and their vast spaces.
This new system bears mature features that meet the true needs of the teacher, the first of which is to equalize the teacher working in the private sector with his colleague in the government sector regarding membership fees and deductions, to maintain unity that knows no division, and to make the clubs the home that does not differentiate between the bearers of its one message. Another feature is the establishment of a social solidarity fund that embraces the joys and sorrows of the teachers, shares their happy moments and supports them in tough times, to be support that never fails, extending hand with aid, and a sincere companionship that makes them feel the club is not just a place to be visited, but a human shadow that stays with them in all their states.
And the first signs of good appear in the "Builders of Generations" agreement, which granted the teachers a seven percent discount at the military consumer corporation markets, in appreciation of their stature, in awe of their efforts, and as an anthem raised on the paths of their undying giving. In all this looms the role of the Hashemite leadership that carried the teacher in its heart, cared for him with its eye, surrounded him with its guidance, and made from his clubs enlightened homes, from his giving an inexhaustible river, and from his mission a wing that elevates the homeland to heights of dignity.
And in light of this increasingly splendid scene, the invitation today is directed with purity of intention and strength of hope to all unaffiliated teachers to hasten to complete their membership, for this moment is when the house is completed by its people, strengthened by those who belong to it, and the crown of education sparkles when the circle of members convenes, making the club a witness to the unity of the message and the elevation of its people, and a corner that befits the makers of generations and the carriers of pens.
