The lawyer of the Egyptian singer Hassan Shakoush’s ex-wife revealed the proceedings to seize the accounts and properties of the famous festival performer, in implementation of the judicial ruling issued in favor of his client.
Lawyer Yasser Kantoush stated that Reem Tarek has received the executive form of the final judgment, which obliges Hassan Shakoush to pay a sum of money for spousal and compensatory support, noting that the seizure includes money in banks and both movable and immovable properties.
Kantoush also explained that this step comes after the family court's decision, which has now become final and irreversible, requiring Shakoush to make the payment.
The case dates back to last April when the family court in the Sixth of October city issued a ruling supporting the obligation of Shakoush to pay spousal and compensatory support to his ex-wife Reem Tarek, amounting to 950,000 Egyptian pounds, a decision that carries full legal obligation.
This decision came after considering the divorce lawsuit filed by Reem, making the ruling final and non-appealable.
This ruling was issued based on lawsuit number 4353 for the year 2024, in which the family court issued a decision determining the amount.
300,000 Egyptian pounds as postponed dowry
Previously, the court had ruled obliging Hassan Shakoush to pay an amount of 300,000 Egyptian pounds as a postponed dowry to his ex-wife. However, Reem Tarek appealed the judgment, demanding an increase in the amount, based on what she described as a disproportion between the value of the judgment and her ex-husband's income.
According to her lawyer, Reem considered that the amount does not reflect the extent of the damage she suffered, nor does it correlate with the earnings Shakoush achieves from his concert performances and profits through platform "YouTube" and other projects she described as "fantastic."
It is worth mentioning that Reem Tarek had sparked widespread controversy at her wedding to Hassan Shakoush in March 2024, where she surprised the attendees in the hall and prostrated while wearing her white wedding dress.
But less than two months after the wedding, discord arose between the couple, leading to mutual accusations and scandals emerging publicly.
