Brazilian international Eder Militao has suffered a severe injury that may thwart his dream of playing in the 2026 World Cup with the "Selecao" jersey.
Media reports say that Militao's injury, Real Madrid's defender against Celta Vigo in the Spanish league last Sunday, could keep him off the field for several weeks.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano, quoting Arancha Rodriguez, said that Eder Militao is suffering from a biceps femoris muscle tear in his left leg, with tendon damage.
He continued: "The Real Madrid defender will be sidelined for about 3 to4 months."
According to AS newspaper, Real Madrid and the Brazilian team are "extremely concerned" about his latest hamstring injury, and fear that the Brazilian may be sidelined for a long period.
It said: "It seems that every year, as he begins to cement his place in the team, he suffers a serious injury that hampers him even more".
