Media reports confirmed that Liverpool's crisis with star Mohamed Salah has unexpectedly worsened, indicating that a new "thunderous bombshell" will surface in the coming days.
The indykaila News account on X reported that the past hours saw a sudden escalation in Liverpool after strong leaks suggesting a radical change in the administration's stance towards Mohamed Salah's future, despite attempts to calm the situation by implying that the Egyptian star's stay was a foregone conclusion.
It elaborated: "Later leaked information confirmed that the club's top brass had indeed decided to open the door for the player's departure in January, after the senior officials preferred to override the technical staff's opinion and declared themselves ready for sale as soon as an offer matching their financial valuation arrived".
He continued: "The movements inside the club do not seem random, as the sources indicate an alternative plan ready that relies on activating the release clause in striker Antoine Simenio's contract to be the direct replacement for Salah upon completing the deal".
He added: "This approach came amid talks about the player's agent discovering secretive attempts by the administration to negotiate with Saudi clubs without his knowledge, which infuriated Salah and opened the door for him to consider new options including the possibility of moving to Barcelona or Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, while the Saudi offers remain the most financially attractive".
And he continued: "Meanwhile, coach Arne Slot is experiencing difficult moments as pressure on him increases due to poor results, where he was informed that his future at the head of the technical staff is linked to an immediate improvement in the team's performance".
Sources within the club suggest that Liverpool might move towards Xabi Alonso if Real Madrid decides to end its relationship with him in the coming weeks, potentially opening the door for the former star's much-awaited return to Anfield in a new role long-awaited by the fans.
