Khaberni - Early this Tuesday morning, the occupying air force launched a series of raids targeting "Hezbollah" sites in the Safi and Wadi Roumin areas of the Apple Province heights, South Lebanon.

The Israeli attacks included 6 aerial raids targeting Mount Safi, and two raids targeting Wadi Roumin in South Lebanon.

In response, the Israeli military issued a statement announcing that it "bombed Hezbollah terrorist organization's infrastructure in several areas of South Lebanon," pointing out the targeting of a "training and rehabilitation complex" used by Hezbollah's Al-Ridwan force, and "military facilities and a launch site" purportedly used to carry out attacks against Israel.

The statement considered these targets to "constitute a violation of understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to the state of Israel."

This escalation comes despite the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel, which came into effect on November 27, 2024, more than a year after the opening of the "Gaza Sector Support Front" in October 2023.

The Israeli military was supposed to have completely withdrawn from the areas it occupied in South Lebanon by January 26, 2025, but it failed to meet this deadline and maintained its military presence at 5 strategic points, justifying this by "ensuring the protection of northern settlements."
