Khaberni - The head of the Fuel Station Owners, Engineer Nahar Al-Saideat, confirmed that the demand for gas cylinders has noticeably increased with the intensification of the impact of the last weather depression, explaining that the consumption recorded a big jump on Saturday by about 50,000 cylinders, reaching a total of 220,000 cylinders circulated that day.

Al-Saideat pointed out that the consumption marked a notable surge during the weekend, reaching levels considered among the highest since the beginning of winter, according to opinions.

Al-Saideat noted that the usual demand on stable winter days typically revolves around 150,000 cylinders, and increases during cold and rainy periods to nearly a quarter of a million cylinders daily, depending on the strength of the weather depression.

Regarding kerosene and diesel, he clarified that the demand is still very modest despite the drop in temperatures.

Al-Saideat pointed out that the consumption pattern changes significantly during depressions, as families tend to store extra cylinders, which raises the demand within a few hours.

He added that the distribution mechanisms operate at their maximum capacity under such conditions to ensure the quantities reach the markets without delay.

Al-Saideat indicated that the delay in rainfall since the beginning of the season has affected market activity in general, anticipating an increase in demand in the coming days with the deepening of the weather depressions and the entry of the winter forty-day period.

Al-Saideat confirmed the availability of a safe inventory of oil derivatives sufficient to meet the Kingdom’s needs, in addition to the inventory of marketing companies and fuel stations, emphasizing that the operational situation is "stable and reassuring."

Jordan's annual consumption of various types of fuels is about 4 billion liters, a level that has been stable in recent years.
