Khaberni - As usual at the end of each year, the global company "Google," owner of the world's leading digital search engine, released its annual report that tracks the most searched topics by users around the world, indicating that Jordanian users were particularly interested in education and artificial intelligence applications this year.

The global company's report, published on the global site "Trends.withgoogle.com," revealed that among the most searched words and topics by Jordanians through the global search engine in 2025 were "Generations" an educational platform announced by the government this year, and "Gemini," an artificial intelligence application also developed by "Alphabet," the owner of Google search engine, according to Al-Ghad newspaper.

The report's results for Jordan this year reflect an interest among Jordanians in the educational sector within the community and among Jordanian families, as well as the involvement and interest of Jordanians, particularly the youth, in advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and their application in education, daily life, and professional fields.

In detail, Google's report on Jordan this year included several classifications for the most searched words and topics, one of which was a special classification for "Sites and Services," where all the most searched words by Jordanians under this classification were related to education and educational technology.

The word "Generations" ranked first in this classification, referring to the national platform for educational information management, learning, and electronic content. This platform was developed in cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Education, the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Education and Information Technology, and in partnership with the private sector represented by the Integrated Technology Group (ITG). Details of this educational platform and its developments were announced twice this year, first in August and then at the beginning of November, where a rising trend in searches for "Generations" has been noted since the summer of this year.

The national project "Management Platform of Educational Information, Learning, and Electronic Content" is a pivotal turning point in the journey of digital education, where the platform will serve as a cornerstone for smart education in the Kingdom, serving more than 1.9 million users including students, teachers, and administrators across more than 4000 public schools throughout Jordan.

The report indicated that the second most searched word in this classification is "National Billing System," which has been mandatory since April of the past year and aims to issue invoices electronically through the system or integrated systems for tax relief purposes. This word has seen a notably rising trend since the announcement of its mandatory application on traders, companies, institutions, and individuals about 8 months ago.

Reflecting also Jordanians' interest in education, the word "Unified Admissions Coordination Unit" ranked third in the classification with Jordanian families concerned about their children's future in Jordanian universities following the release of the General Secondary Education results.

Confirming Jordanians' interest in education, the words "Cambridge One" and "Acadomi" occupied the next rankings, which are global electronic platforms concerned with education and training.

In another classification titled "Technologies," there was a clear interest among Jordanians in searching for names and topics related to various types of artificial intelligence applications, with the "Gemini" application, developed by Google, being the most searched application by Jordanians.

The "Gemini" application, launched for the first time in the first quarter of 2024, released an updated version "Gemini 3" during this year, making it one of the most searched as the app strongly competes with other artificial intelligence applications.

According to the Google report, the "ChatGPT" application developed by OpenAI ranked second as the most searched in the "Technologies" classification, where Jordanians use the most famous application in the field of generative artificial intelligence, which was launched for the first time in 2022 and has been foundational to the competition and rapid development in this field as a tool that mimics effective human conversations.

Following "ChatGPT," the "Deep Sea" application from China moved the competition in this market, followed by words like "YouTube Music" and "Google AI Studio."

The "Google" report provided other classifications of the most searched words, including in the arts and sports sectors, among others, but the "Sites and Services" and "Technologies" classifications are the most expressive of the technical sector, which is one of the most vital, rapidly developing sectors, drawing interest from people of all layers and ages, especially the youth who constitute a large percentage of the total internet users around the world and in Jordan.

The results of Google's annual report for Jordan reflect the Jordanian community's and youth's interest in education, its technologies, and the applications of the intelligence that has swept through all sectors and in various uses.

According to official figures, the number of internet users in Jordan is estimated at about 11 million, of whom 8 million use it via smartphones.
