Khaberni - The Israeli Prime Minister's office announced on Monday that Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the United States on December 29 to discuss future plans for Gaza.
Government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian said in an online briefing to journalists: "The Prime Minister will meet President Trump on Monday, December 29, and they will discuss steps, future stages, and international stability strength as part of the 'ceasefire plan'."
This will be Netanyahu's fifth visit since January, possibly extending to a week, and Netanyahu has not confirmed the duration of the meeting or the venue.
Israeli media reported that Netanyahu will visit the United States from December 28 to January 4, 2026, with the meeting expected to take place at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, near his son's residence.
It is expected that the two sides will discuss the next steps in the American peace plan concerning Gaza, alongside security agreements with Syria, Lebanon, and other regional issues.
The "Times of Israel" newspaper reported that the parties are looking to move into the second phase of Trump's 20-point plan to end the war.
The plan includes disarming Hamas, establishing a Palestinian authority to manage Gaza affairs, and deploying an international peacekeeping force.
It is likely that Netanyahu and Trump will discuss the new security arrangements with Syria.
The announcement of the visit came shortly after the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Walters, visited Israel to conduct talks regarding Gaza plans.
