Khaberni - The value of credit card loans increased by 10%, at the end of last October, compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 416 million dinars, from the total credit facilities granted by the banking sector during this period.
According to data from the central bank, the banking sector declined to provide credit facilities in 10 months of the current year, with a value of 1.420 billion dinars, compared to 774 million dinars, in the same period of 2024, while the number of rejected applications was about 85,000 requests.
As for the value of credit facilities approved during the 10 months of this year, it reached 11.582 billion dinars, compared to 9.985 billion dinars at the end of October 2024, at a time when the number of these approvals reached 268,000 approvals, during this period.
The total value of credit facilities and loans from the beginning of the year until the end of October reached about 36.128 billion dinars, with an increase of nearly 4% compared to the same period in 2024, when its value reached 34.770 billion dinars, while the facilities for the resident and non-resident private sector this year reached approximately 32.197 billion dinars.
By the end of September this year, the capital Amman continued to dominate the value of credit facilities provided by the banking sector, accounting for 81.8% of the total facilities, while the Tafilah governorate remained in the last rank within this arrangement, with a percentage reaching 0.04% of the total.
