Khaberni - The head of the Military Service and Reserve Service Department, Colonel Corner Ziad Al-Khawaldeh, announced the start of recruitment procedures for the first batch of conscripts for military service in the Jordanian army during a joint press conference. He explained that the medical examinations for conscripts will be conducted from December 17 to December 23 of the current year, at designated medical centers in the three regions (north, center, south).

Colonel Al-Khawaldeh added that the recruitment procedures will officially start at the Military Recruitment Center in Kho, where they will be executed from January 11 to January 22, 2026.

He pointed out that the conscripts will join the training centers on January 31, 2026, and the training course for the first batch will open on February 1, 2026.

Al-Khawaldeh explained that the instructions for entering the training camps include prohibiting the entry of personal phones, with the provision of the possibility to contact the conscripts’ families through the phones of the military training center.

He said that this ensures continuous communication with the families during the training period.

Regarding the conscripts' departure, Al-Khawaldeh noted that they will be allowed to leave after the first 4 weeks of service, then at the end of each week for 48 hours, provided they return to rejoin the center on Saturday evening.

Al-Khawaldeh confirmed that the training centers will be equipped with a medical center, in addition to a surveillance camera system to ensure safety and security.

A medical treatment card will also be issued from the Royal Medical Services, covering the first beneficiary throughout the service period.

Al-Khawaldeh confirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces are fully prepared to receive the first batch of conscripts and implement the training program in accordance with the highest standards.

He added that the military service aims to enhance military skills and national discipline among the youth, contributing to the readiness of the Jordanian army.

The Jordanian Armed Forces continue to take the necessary measures to implement this training course, which is part of ongoing updates in the military service programs.

Colonel Al-Khawaldeh emphasized the importance of this service in building and developing the military and personal capabilities of the conscripts, enhancing the ability of the Jordanian army to face security challenges.
