Khaberni - Samsung Electronics announced the appointment of TM Roh as the head of the Device Experience division, and also charged him with the position of the company's CEO. With this, he joins Jong-Hee Han, the other CEO, Vice-Chairman of the Board and Head of Device Solution Division, to lead Samsung together.
TM Roh will continue to oversee the company’s mobile device business as the head of the Mobile Device Experience sector, while Jong-Hee Han will continue to lead the company’s memory manufacturing sector.
To enhance Samsung's technological position, the company announced the appointment of Hyun Yun Jang as the Chief Technology Officer for the Device Experience sector and head of the Samsung Research Center, in addition to appointing Hong Kon Park to lead the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology.
Hyun Yun Jang previously held the position of CEO at Samsung Venture Investment, and had earlier responsibilities for developing software platforms, Internet of Things technologies, and the Tizen system within the mobile device business of the company.
As for Hong Kon Park, he currently holds a position as a professor of Chemistry and Physics at Harvard University and is considered one of the leading researchers globally in the fields of nanoscience, quantum science, and advanced engineering.
