Khaberni - The IEEE EMBS chapter at Arab American University participated in the events of the National Day for Biomedical Engineering (EMBS National Day), which was held at the Jordan University of Science and Technology with the participation of IEEE EMBS branches nationwide, attended by elite specialists, researchers, and students interested in the field of biomedical engineering.

Members of the Arab American University chapter participated in various segments of the National Day for Biomedical Engineering, providing them an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, network with experts in the field, and learn about the latest scientific and research developments, which included scientific sessions, student competitions, and interactive presentations, along with lectures delivered by prominent professionals in the medical and engineering sectors.

The event featured a series of distinctive lectures reflecting the rapid development in the biomedical engineering sector, including: a lecture on linear accelerators, presented by Engineer Ahmed Kandil, discussing the role of accelerators in modern radiation treatments and their development mechanisms, and a lecture ("The Future of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering") participated in by Dr. Amjad Al-Affoum, Dr. Luai Freiwan, Dr. Hazem Haddad, forming a rich discussion session on the future integration of artificial intelligence in medical devices and disease diagnostics and health system management.

In addition, there was a lecture on surgical operating rooms, presented by Engineer Mohammad Shdeifat, discussing the technical development in designing operating rooms and advanced safety systems, and a lecture on hospital design, presented by Engineer Rayan Kamal, focusing in his lecture on engineering design concepts of modern hospitals and techniques for improving medical performance efficiency.

Students of the IEEE EMBS - AAU chapter participated under the supervision of Mr. Malik Aliyan from the Dean of Student Affairs, who followed all preparations, providing logistical and moral support to students, contributing to representing the university honorably to ensure their successful participation in all segments of the event, in the competitive activities of the event which included a display of innovative student projects providing engineering solutions in the fields of medical devices and biotechnologies, where students were introduced to advanced ideas and research reflecting the level of creativity and excellence among participants from various Jordanian universities, also providing an opportunity for direct interaction between students, judges, and experts, contributing to exchanging expertise and broadening the horizons of the participating students.

The event was distinguished by organizing an interactive competition that merged scientific knowledge and technical skills, contributing to enhancing the spirit of positive competition, and encouraging participants to test their analytical and thinking capabilities in a stimulating and innovative educational atmosphere. The National Day for Biomedical Engineering concluded with a ceremony honoring the participants, lecturers, and participating student branches, in appreciation for their efforts in making this distinctive scientific event successful, and the participation of the IEEE EMBS chapter - Arab American University added a valuable addition to its record of activities, with students expressing their significant benefit from this experience that enhanced their knowledge, expanded their professional networks, and increased their readiness for the future academic and practical fields in biomedical engineering.
