Khaberni - Within the vision and mission of the College of Engineering at Arab Amman University to enhance the practical and applied aspects and host experts in the field of renewable energy, supervised by Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Akram Musa, head of the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering and the academic supervisor for the branch of the Association of Energy Engineers at Arab Amman University, the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering and the student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) at Arab Amman University held a specialized scientific workshop titled "Operation and Maintenance of Photovoltaic Energy Systems", presented by Engineer Lana Daraz, a partnership development specialist at Hussein Technical University (HTU), and expert in the field of solar energy.
During the workshop, Engineer Daraz discussed the fundamental aspects of operation and maintenance (O&M) of photovoltaic systems, starting from methodologies of system performance assessment and analytical data, through to procedures of periodic preventative maintenance, and culminating with the latest methods used in diagnosing failures and addressing them to ensure continuity in productivity. She also reviewed long-term efficiency and safety standards, as well as best global practices in maintaining system readiness and achieving the highest levels of reliability and sustainability.
In this regard, Dr. Akram Musa, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Agha, a faculty member at the college, pointed out that this workshop comes in response to the needs of students and to enhance their practical experiences, especially given the active presence of students from the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering and members of the student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers at Arab Amman University, which contributed to enriching the discussions and adding a productive academic touch to the session, affirming that the workshop provided participants with an opportunity to closely understand the practical challenges in managing and maintaining renewable systems, enhancing technical excellence and instilling principles of sustainability and innovation in building a more efficient and greener energy future.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Akram Musa, head of the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, honored Engineer Lana Daraz in appreciation for her efforts and valuable lecture that contributed to enriching the students' knowledge and enhancing their practical experiences, while the student branch of the Association of Energy Engineers expressed their deep thanks to Engineer Daraz for her outstanding presentation, and to all attendees whose interaction played a prominent role in making this distinctive event successful, and in establishing an interactive scientific environment within the university.
