Khaberni - Leaked recordings have revealed new secrets and backstage insights within the tight circle of the former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, unveiling the identity of the "third person" who was accompanying him on his private tours.

According to sources, "Amjad Issa," the assistant to the late presidential advisor Luna Shibli, was the person present in the car with Assad during the leaked recordings.

Appearance in the car's "mirror"
The recordings documented Assad driving his car accompanied by Luna Shibli, who was killed under mysterious circumstances in 2024, where information was circulated at the time indicating that the car accident that claimed her life "was orchestrated".

In a revealing shot, "Amjad Issa appeared in the car’s internal mirror" that the three were riding in. His appearance coincided with the moment a military officer leaned through the car window "to kiss Bashar al-Assad’s hand," an act that Luna Shibli subsequently met with "mockery of the Syrian soldier".

Who is "Amjad Issa"?
The report highlighted the pivotal role played by Issa in the shadows; he was "one of the media supervisors at the presidential palace", in addition to holding the position of "director of the Al Wahda institution responsible for the newspapers Al-Thawra and Tishreen".

According to local Syrian websites, Issa's role was not limited to media but was also present in sensitive political files, where he "accompanied the regime's delegation to the city of Geneva in 2016 to attend negotiations with the opposition". He also participated in "various tours that took place in the Kazakh capital within the Astana process".

Regarding his current fate, political analyst Abdullah Al-Hamad told "Al Arabiya" that "no one knows his whereabouts".

Insults and mockery of the people and the army
The recordings obtained by the "Al Arabiya/Al Hadath" channel on Saturday also revealed the other side of the regime; Assad appeared in one of the clips "directing harsh insults related to Ghouta", while in other clips he "mocked his soldiers and the Syrian people".

When Shibli asked him how he feels when seeing his pictures in the streets, Assad answered her coldly that he "feels nothing". Moreover, he went further when describing the general situation in Syria, saying, "I feel not only ashamed but disgusted".

Mockery of ministers and the family name
Senior officials were not spared from the tongue of Assad and his advisor; they directed "scathing mockery towards the Syrian police and the Minister of Interior". Shibli was quoted mocking: "How happy is the Minister of Interior with his police, and every so often they put news for him on Facebook".

Mockery from Luna Shibli also extended to General Sohail Hassan, commenting on his actions by saying: "He’s not free, he’s put his leg on Mount Qasioun and is posing for pictures, accompanied by Russian escorts".

In concluding the series of mockeries, Assad was seen even mocking "his own family name", stating that it "should be changed to another animal’s name".
