In line with the vision of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University to enhance the alignment of academic programs with the job market, Dr. Rami Suhweil, Dean of the College of Information Technology, and Dr. Kamal Aliyan, Assistant Dean, participated in a field visit to the Aqaba Digital Hub (Aqaba Digital Hub), organized by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission and directed by Professor Dr. Zafar Al-Sarairah, Chairman of the Council, with the participation of deans of colleges of information technology and representatives from official and private Jordanian universities, and with the presence of the Vice President of the Commission, Professor Dr. Saad Bani Mohammed, and the Assistant President of the Commission, Professor Dr. Fidaa Al-Tamimi.

In this regard, Dr. Suhweil confirmed that this visit came within the framework of the efforts of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University to enhance collaboration with national technological sectors and to develop academic programs to meet the requirements of the job market. He pointed out that the visit is part of the efforts of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission to ensure the alignment of higher education outputs with the needs of the digital economy, and to enhance the practical aspect and practical skills in information technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and modern digital programs. Dr. Suhweil also highlighted the importance of these meetings at the level of Jordanian public and private universities, pointing out the vital role of cooperation between universities and engaging students in training programs and applied projects that enhance their readiness for the digital job market.

For his part, Dr. Saad Bani Mohammed indicated that the visit aims to connect Jordanian universities with the Aqaba Digital City to benefit from its advanced infrastructure, develop academic programs according to the latest global standards, and activate partnerships between the academic and technological sectors to enhance the competitiveness of graduates.

It is noted that the visit started with an official meeting at the Aqaba University of Technology, where the development of curricula and the enhancement of practical training for students and the expansion of opportunities for applied projects were discussed, followed by a tour of the facilities of the digital city to see the data centers, digital platforms, and entrepreneurial projects, with presentations on opportunities for cooperation in training and dual study and applied projects. Professor Dr. Fidaa Al-Tamimi, the Assistant President of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, confirmed that the modern capabilities of the city represent an important opportunity to enhance the practical skills of students in accordance with international practices.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission praised the participation of Jordanian universities and their positive interaction, affirming that this initiative comes as part of its national strategy aimed at raising the quality of higher education, through enhancing modern technological partnerships and enabling universities to benefit from advanced digital experiences, which contributes to the development of academic programs and honing the skills of students in preparation for the job market.

It is worth mentioning that this participation reflects Amman Arab University's commitment to enhancing its presence in scientific and professional events, supporting students in developing their practical skills, and expanding the horizons of cooperation with national technological sectors, contributing to the preparation of a generation of distinguished graduates capable of facing the challenges of the digital job market and in line with the national strategy to elevate the quality of higher education and enhance academic and technological partnerships.
