Khaberni - The number of ownership transactions for non-Jordanian investors during the first eleven months of the current year amounted to 2,246 properties, with a decrease of 12% compared to the same period last year, which recorded the sale of 2,551 properties.
According to the Department of Lands and Survey, these sales include 1,358 apartments worth 117 million dinars, a decrease of 9% compared to the same period last year, which recorded 1,448 apartments, and 888 plots of land worth 78 million dinars, with a decrease of 16% compared to the same period last year, which recorded 1,063 plots of land.
The estimated value of real estate sales to non-Jordanian investors during the first eleven months of the current year amounts to 195 million dinars, with a decrease of 3% compared to the same period last year, which recorded 200 million dinars.
The nationalities with the highest property ownership
The Iraqi nationality ranked first in property ownership transactions of non-Jordanians during the first eleven months, with a total of 496 properties, followed by the Saudi nationality in second place with a total of 362 properties, Syrian nationality in third place with a total of 216 properties, American nationality in fourth place with a total of 163 properties, and Palestinian nationality fifth with a total of 158 properties.
In terms of value, the Iraqi nationality also ranked first with an estimated value of 71.8 million dinars, accounting for 37% of the estimated value for non-Jordanian ownership transactions, followed by the American nationality in second place with a value of 18.4 million dinars accounting for 9%, the Syrian nationality in third place with a value of 13.4 million dinars accounting for 7%, the Palestinian nationality in fourth place with a value of 12.2 million dinars accounting for 6.2%, slightly ahead of the Saudi nationality in fifth place with a value of 11 million dinars accounting for 5.7%.
