Khaberni - Danny Murphy, a former Liverpool player, expressed surprise at Mohamed Salah's angry statements following his team's 3-3 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday, pointing out that the Egyptian star caused a problem within the team after he ignored knocking on coach Arne Slot's office door before complaining to the media.

Following sitting out the third consecutive Premier League game as a substitute, Salah made provocative statements to the media, revealing the collapse of his relationship with the coach, and indicating that there are those who do not want him to continue with Liverpool.

Danny Murphy, who played 249 matches for Liverpool between the late 1990s and early 2000s, said on the BBC program "Match of the Day": Even if you are frustrated, that doesn't give you the right to act like this. Go to the office, knock on the coach's door, talk to him and express to him frankly how you feel no matter how distressed you are.

He added: Mohamed has made everything revolve around him now, and has created a problem within the team and also problems for the coach. And I repeat again, whatever the situation was, he should not have dealt with it this way.

Salah had played 53 consecutive matches as a starter for Liverpool in the Premier League before this streak was broken last week by him staying on the substitutes' bench in the West Ham match which the team won and then continued to sit out in the draws with Sunderland and Leeds.

It is expected that Salah will miss 6 Liverpool matches in the Premier League if Egypt qualifies for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations next month.
