Khaberni - The Cabinet approved on Sunday a revised system for the National Center for Curriculum Development for the year 2025.

The system comes in response to the requirements of educational development, and to keep pace with the new tasks undertaken by the center, which aligns with enhancing its role and improving its efficiency in managing the curriculum development and evaluation process.

According to the amendments, the center will undertake the evaluation task by creating a question banks unit for national exams, and keeping up with developments in the Jordanian educational scene, especially regarding inclusive education and early childhood; to ensure the developed curricula are in harmony with the recent national trends in education.

The amendments also come as a response to global educational developments related to the curricula, aligning with best practices and reflecting the continuous progress in educational sciences, as well as keeping up with changes in the new curricular plans of the Ministry of Education, especially at the secondary level, and contributes to enhancing the move towards digital education and assessment, and increasing reliance on educational technology in development and evaluation processes.

The council also decided to approve procedures related to financing a capacity-building project in the field of vocational training for green skills, supported by the government of the Republic of South Korea through the Korean International Cooperation Agency, with a value of ten million US dollars.

The project aims to build capacities in the field of vocational training for green skills, promote and stimulate employment in the green industry by establishing a vocational training center in Irbid Governorate relying on green technology, and build capacities to expand green industries.

The decision comes in the context of empowering the new center to offer programs for green jobs related to renewable energy, smart agriculture, and some professions related to environmentally friendly industries.
