Minister of Environment Air in AlKarak Iraq within approved standards

Minister of Environment Ayman Suleiman said that the Ministry of Environment has dealt with interest and seriousness with the issues raised during the oversight session of the House of Representatives held on December 1st of the current year, related to the environmental reality in the Al-Karak region in Iraq.

The minister explained that he personally visited the area to directly observe the environmental conditions, which specialized technical teams from the ministry visited, and conducted precise measurements and tests using accredited laboratories and mobile devices.

He pointed out that the results of the measurements showed no emissions detected, and that the air quality falls within the approved environmental standards, whether at the site of the Bromine company or in the surrounding areas, including the areas discussed, which are about 12 kilometers away from the company's location.

Dr. Suleiman confirmed the ministry's continued monitoring of all observations and enhancing environmental oversight programs to preserve environmental safety and public health, in accordance with the existing environmental legislation.
