Khaberni - A survey conducted by Cooper Fitch shows that the labor market in Saudi Arabia is heading towards a period of recovery and prosperity, as more than 48% of Saudi companies intend to hire new staff during 2026.

According to Okaz newspaper, the survey revealed a strong economic growth that prompted Saudi and foreign companies operating in the Kingdom to decide to open new employment opportunities. The CEO of the company, Trevor Murphy, said that the survey included more than 1,000 Gulf companies and focused on employment activities and salary trends for 2025, in addition to expectations for 2026.

Murphy indicated that the sectors likely to undergo the largest workforce expansion include aviation, defense, and space sciences, noting that employment might see a doubling in growth. He also mentioned that public sector institutions as well as real estate and construction companies are also expected to witness a significant increase in hiring.

On the other hand, the report mentioned that some companies do not plan to launch new jobs, reflecting a stability in their conditions. It reported that 29% of the companies expect to reduce their workforce, while 23% confirmed that they will not make any changes to their workforce size, pointing to a state of job stability in the new year.
