The General Command of Fujairah Police, today, announced that it has successfully apprehended a girl aged 23 years, after a video was shared showing her carrying a type of sword (Talwar) amid a gathering of youths in the area of Al Fiqeet during the Union Day celebrations, in behavior foreign to the community and contrary to customs and laws.
The police clarified that such behavior constitutes a direct danger to public safety and exposes the gatherers to serious risks, asserting that it will not tolerate any negative practices or reckless behaviors that might disturb the tranquility of the national celebrations or affect public security.
On his part, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, Brigadier Mohammed bin Naie Al Taniji, stated that under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior, Fujairah Police rigorously enforce the law, and take deterrent measures against anyone found involved in non-compliant actions, in order to protect community members and ensure their security and safety, and to guarantee that the national celebrations proceed in a civilized manner that accurately reflects the values of the UAE and its authentic traditions.
