Khaberni - Sources familiar with OpenAI's artificial intelligence plans stated that the company plans its first response to Google's new "Gemini 3" model through the upcoming "GPT-5.2" update.

The "GPT-5.2" model is ready for release, and OpenAI may launch it on December 9th.

Sources, speaking to "The Verge", mentioned that the "GPT-5.2" model is expected to bridge the gap created by Google's "Gemini 3" last month, according to a report by the technology news website.

"Gemini 3" tops the performance charts of AI models, impressing both Sam Altman of OpenAI and Elon Musk, CEO of the emerging AI company "xAI".

The newspaper "The Information" reported a few days ago that OpenAI's next thought model surpasses "Gemini 3" in the company’s internal assessments, according to Altman.

Originally, OpenAI planned to launch "GPT-5.2" later in December, but pressure from competitors pushed the company to advance the release date to December 9th, according to "The Verge" report.

This release date may change in response to development challenges, server capacity issues, or even announcements and leaks from competing AI models.

The chatbot "ChatGPT" is expected to evolve significantly in the coming months, as OpenAI shifts focus from flashy new features to improving the speed, reliability, and customization capabilities of conversations, following Altman's declaration of "maximum alert" to enhance "ChatGPT". The launch of the "GPT-5.2" model will mark the beginning of this improvement.
