Khaberni - Professor Dr. Zafer Al-Sarayrah, the president of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, confirmed in a press statement that there are no Jordanian universities in the international Shanghai ranking for universities for the year 2025, indicating that the rumors about some Jordanian universities entering the ranking are not accurate and do not rely on official lists issued by the accredited global body.
Al-Sarayrah added that what is being circulated only relates to a limited appearance of programs or sub-areas within side categories in the ranking, which does not mean at all that the university, as an institutional entity, is included in the general ranking that encompasses the top 1000 universities worldwide.
