A scientific study conducted by scientists at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute revealed that hair loss caused by stress occurs in two stages.
And the study showed that understanding this process might help in studying autoimmune diseases.
Stress is considered a trigger that accelerates the onset of some diseases, and can lead to hair loss. The first stage of this phenomenon begins with the secretion of norepinephrine, which destroys hair follicle cells, but these follicles usually regenerate over time because the stem cells are not damaged.
