Spanish media have confirmed that Barcelona is close to sealing a promising deal in the upcoming winter transfer period.
The Catalan newspaper Sport mentioned that there have been rapid developments in the transfer file of the Egyptian talent Hamza Abdelkarim, as Barcelona has become the closest to sealing the deal, outperforming major European clubs that were following the player, including Bayern Munich and Milan.
The newspaper clarified that the Catalan club has made significant progress in its negotiations with the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, bringing the two parties to the final stages of the agreement.
According to the same sources, Hamza Abdelkarim's strong desire to play for Barcelona was a decisive factor in accelerating the negotiations, as the player rejected all other offers, clinging only to the option of the Spanish club, while his father provided additional support for this direction after contacting Al-Ahly's management to facilitate the deal.
Information indicates that Barcelona plans to acquire the player on a loan extending for six months, with an option to buy at the end of the season for the reserve team. The process has also received the green light from the club’s scouts who fully believe in the player’s capabilities and his future potential.
Barcelona officials believe that signing Abdelkarim, born in 2008, represents an important addition to the club's talent development project, at a time when there is clear confidence in completing the deal quickly, especially with the significant convergence between the views of both parties.
