Khaberni - Within the framework of enhancing national partnership and the integration between educational and legislative institutions, Dr. Omar Mashhour Al-Jazzi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Widian, President of the University, visited the Jordanian House of Representatives, where they were received by the President of the Council, His Excellency Mr. Mazen Al-Qadi, to offer congratulations on his assumption of the presidency of the Council, and to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the presence of: Dr. Sultan Al-Attin, Head of the Law Department, Mr. Wadah Mismar, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at Amman Arab University, and Mr. Mahmoud Al-Khlaileh, Director General of the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Jazzi expressed Amman Arab University's pride in the important role played by the House of Representatives in supporting the higher education journey and in developing legislation that contributes to elevating the university environment in Jordan, emphasizing the university's keenness to bolster its institutional cooperation with the council to serve students and enhance national development. He added that through this cooperation, Amman Arab University seeks to establish continuous communication channels with the council, enabling the exchange of expertise and information about educational and legislative policies, supporting academic initiatives that advance scientific research, and developing specialized programs that prepare students for effective participation in the job market and the community, emphasizing the importance of building long-term strategic partnerships with various state institutions, enhancing the leading role of Amman Arab University in higher education, and cementing its status as a pioneering academic institution that keeps pace with national and international developments.
In turn, Dr. Al-Widian emphasized that Amman Arab University places great importance on building strategic partnerships with state institutions, particularly the legislative authority, due to its direct impact on the development of academic programs and the honing of student skills. He added that cooperation with the House of Representatives constitutes an important step in enhancing national awareness and community responsibility among university students, expressing appreciation for His Excellency Mr. Mazen Al-Qadi's continuous support for the higher education journey.
For his part, His Excellency the Speaker of the House expressed his appreciation for Amman Arab University and its distinguished achievements in the fields of education, scientific research, and community service, emphasizing the university's role in preparing qualified national cadres capable of effectively contributing to the national development journey and the advancement of the Jordanian society. He pointed out that Amman Arab University serves as a leading model for academic institutions that balance scientific excellence and community responsibility, praising the programs and initiatives implemented by the university to qualify students and enhance their practical and cognitive skills, and welcoming the enhancement of cooperation between the council and the university. He affirmed that the joint initiatives, interactive visits, and workshops that bring together the university's students and council members directly contribute to deepening students' understanding of the nature of parliamentary and legislative work, and equip them with the necessary experience for active participation in national life.
