Khaberni - The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission, Ziad Al-Saayida, announced the elevation of readiness in the energy sector, coinciding with the unstable weather conditions the kingdom is experiencing, including heavy rain and strong winds.

Al-Saayida directed electricity companies, fuel stations, and gas agencies to raise their readiness level and responsiveness speed to ensure the continuity of electricity supply and the availability of all derivatives without interruption, especially kerosene, gas cylinders, ensuring sufficient stock, and the readiness of operation and communication centers and field teams for immediate response to any emergencies.

Al-Saayida confirmed that the Monitoring and Emergency Center at the Authority operates around the clock, to monitor the performance of the electrical system and to coordinate directly with electricity companies, fuel stations, and agencies for rapid response to any malfunctions or shortages in service provision, maintaining the efficiency of supply in all regions of the kingdom.

He called on the citizens to immediately report any malfunctions or observations through the customer service centers of electricity companies or the emergency center at the Authority, emphasizing the need to take necessary measures and precautions to secure airborne objects on building rooftops that may be affected by the winds, to ensure public safety, and to avoid any risks that may affect the networks or properties.
