The selling price of one gram of gold for 24, 18, and 14 karats for buying purposes from goldsmith shops stands at 97.60, 75.60, and 57.50 dinars respectively.
According to Rabi Allan, the head of the general union for owners of trade and jewelry smithing shops, the price of a 7-gram Rashadi lira is 597 dinars, and an English lira weighing 8 grams is 682 dinars.
Allan explained that the demand and supply in the local market are weak, which is usual at this time of the year.
He indicated that the yellow metal closed its trading yesterday, Friday, in the international market at 4198 dollars per ounce.
