Khaberni - The US Department of State said that American and Ukrainian officials will continue discussions on Saturday about a plan to end the war in Ukraine, at the end of the second day of meetings in Florida, attended by the US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the chief Ukrainian negotiator Rustem Umerov.
The department stated in a statement "Both sides agreed that real progress toward any agreement depends on Russia's readiness to demonstrate a serious commitment to long-term peace, including steps toward de-escalation and stopping killings."
The statement added that the parties "also agreed on the framework for security arrangements and discussed the deterrent capabilities necessary to maintain lasting peace."
