The Meteorological Department issued a high-risk warning today for the provinces of Aqaba and Ma'an, and areas of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, due to unstable atmospheric conditions impacting the kingdom, while other provinces and cities were classified within a medium risk level.

The Meteorological Department urged the necessity of taking the following warnings seriously:

The risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

The risk of thunderstorms and the possibility of hail falling.

The risk of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in the Badia regions, and sometimes non-existent on desert roads.

The risk of high wind speeds and strong gusts associated with them.

Relevant authorities confirmed the importance of following weather updates and taking necessary preventive measures, especially in areas classified under the "high" warning level.
