The American capital, Washington, particularly at the John Kennedy Center for the Arts, hosted the ceremonies of the 2026 World Cup final draw.
During an interview with "DSPORTS" channel, the American President spoke about Argentina, where Trump expressed his admiration for the country and its management.
Trump praised the work of Argentine President Javier Milei, saying: "He is doing a great job. Argentina is returning to its glory."
Trump did not fail to mention global football stars, praising Lionel Messi as "great," and also expressing his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Trump said: "Messi is great and so is Ronaldo. I have met Ronaldo, hosted him at the White House, and we talked about football. Ronaldo was here, and he is a great person."
The former American President concluded his interview by emphasizing the importance of supporting sports in the world, indicating that major sporting events are not just competitions, but a historical, social, and cultural experience that brings millions together around the same passion.
