The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate reported that the rescue and ambulance teams in the West Amman Civil Defense Directorate dealt today with a gas leak incident inside a house in the north of the capital.
The leak resulted in the death of three people (a father, mother, and their daughter) and another person suffered breathing difficulties, as the ambulance teams provided the necessary first aid to the injured and opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
The Public Security Directorate renews its warning to citizens to check heaters and ensure their safety when used regardless of their types, to verify the hose connecting between the cylinder and the body of the heater, replace the seal each time the cylinder is replaced, ventilate the house periodically, not to leave the heater on while sleeping, and to perform regular maintenance on boilers and their fittings of various types and water heaters (geysers) whether they operate on electricity or gas and not to sleep with heaters on.
