The Food and Drug Authority confirmed that its regulatory processes are continual around the clock (24/7), through specialized teams that execute inspection campaigns precise and ongoing on the markets, factories, and the food and drug facilities across various governorates of the kingdom.

The Authority also confirmed that it receives observations and complaints through the hotline around the clock, which is directly monitored by the General Director and all the directors of the departments in the Authority, to guarantee an urgent response and necessary actions.

The Authority pointed out the existence of permanent regulatory and inspection arrangements in cooperation with the Royal Police for Environmental Protection and the Cybercrime Unit, which ensures enhanced monitoring and the protection of citizen health.

Furthermore, based on its national responsibility, the Authority adopts a policy of not announcing inspection campaigns in advance to ensure the effectiveness of the procedures and to preserve the national economy.

It clarified that the majority of the violations detected relate to unlicensed facilities that exploit the needs of citizens by offering low-priced deals on products that do not meet the requirements.

The Authority urged citizens not to purchase products except from licensed facilities subject to periodic monitoring, to preserve their health and safety.

It emphasized that it retains its legal right against any entity or individual promoting incorrect information about its work and procedures, and urges obtaining information from its official source, which is the Food and Drug Authority, before publishing or circulating any inaccurate content.
