Weather specialists at the Arab Weather Center stated that the kingdom and the region will enter, God willing, into a state of unstable weather starting from the afternoon and evening hours on Saturday 12/6/2025, and it will continue into the night. This unstable weather condition comes as a result of a push of cold air in the upper layers of the atmosphere along with an active response from the Red Sea trough from the south.
Several important things you should know about the unstable weather condition:
Preceded by some local rains in limited areas on the night of Friday/Saturday.
The condition mainly starts after the afternoon and evening on Saturday and continues during the night, as it diminishes in most regions on Sunday and shifts focus to desert regions.
The condition will be random in nature, which means that the rainfall will not be consistent in terms of time, place, and intensity.
The condition is accompanied by heavy rainfall within narrow geographic scopes, especially in parts of the south of the kingdom.
The chances of thunderstorms include Aqaba, Wadi Rum, Disi, and neighbouring areas.
The risks of sudden flash floods increase in such conditions.
The rains will be accompanied by lightning and thunder.
