Khaberni - Following the failures to move to the second phase of US President Donald Trump's peace plan in Gaza; an announcement was made that it will soon be subjected to modifications amid escalating concerns about its stalling and lack of tangible progress in implementation, due to the ongoing breaches by the occupation of the ceasefire agreement, and the obstacles it places in the way of completing these steps.

And still, the fate of the second phase of President Trump's plan remains unknown, even after he announced yesterday that it would soon undergo modifications, amidst unresolved issues from the first phase, which includes the initial truce, withdrawal of occupation forces, prisoner exchanges, and facilitation of humanitarian aid entry to the sector. The extremist government has not complied with all its requirements.
More than two weeks have passed since the United Nations Security Council decision granting the mandate to both the Peace Council to oversee the administration of Gaza and the International Stabilization Force to secure the sector, which are included in Trump's plan, where Washington has not yet announced any names for either of them. Despite the United States confirming that it would be able to persuade countries around the world to participate in the council and contribute forces to the international force, immediately after the Security Council’s decision, no progress has been made so far. It seems that the problem is due to not reaching a formal agreement at that time on the second phase related to the administration of Gaza after the war, after President Trump managed last month to reach a ceasefire agreement in the sector and mobilize the international community behind his 20-point plan to end the Zionist genocide war in Gaza.
In the meantime, breaches of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip continue, through the occupation forces launching heavy air raids on the tents of Palestinian displaced persons in Khan Yunis, south, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 5 Palestinians and the injury of others, including children, what Hamas described as a war crime and disregard for the ceasefire agreement.
The escalation came shortly after threats made by the head of the extremist government, Benjamin Netanyahu, following the occupation army's announcement of injuring 5 of its soldiers in clashes with Palestinian fighters who came out of a tunnel in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza, according to his claim.
Commenting on this, Hamas said that what was committed by the criminal Zionist occupation army of savage aggression and ruthless bombing near the hospital and the tents of the displaced in Khan Yunis, killing martyrs and wounding others, including children, is a described war crime and disregard for the ceasefire agreement, and a blatant attempt to shirk its obligations.
Hamas holds the criminal Zionist occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of this escalation, urging mediators and guaranteeing states on the necessity to curb the occupation from continuing its crimes and not allowing the war criminal Netanyahu and his extremist government to evade the obligations of the agreement, chiefly the cessation of bombing operations against civilians and residential areas, and the tents of the displaced.
In the meantime, mediators of the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on October 10th last (Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States), have been active in trying to mediate an exit for dozens of Hamas fighters from the tunnels of Rafah to areas not occupied by the occupation army. Yet, the extremist government continues its stubbornness and insists on the necessity of their surrender, which is rejected by the fighters, while it continues its breaches of the ceasefire agreement, in the course of the genocide war which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 70,000 Palestinians and 171,000 injured, most of them children and women, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. The Palestinian Health, in a statement made yesterday, stated that there are still some victims under the rubble, and rescue teams are unable to reach them. It was also stated that in the last 24 hours, 8 martyrs and 16 injuries were received at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, and since the ceasefire agreement on October 11th last, the toll reached 366 martyrs and 938 injuries, while 619 bodies were recovered.
