Khaberni - The head of the Greater Irbid Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azam, discussed with a delegation of Jordanian and Emirati investors ways to open new prospects for benefiting from solid waste and investing it in various fields, in the presence of the Director of Solid Waste Management at the Ministry of Local Administration, Engineer Farah Al-Dawood.
The meeting discussed a number of future visions regarding the possibility of exploiting waste and conversion stations and their specific dumps to achieve added value.
​Al-Azam affirmed that, through these meetings, the municipality aims to turn the environmental challenge of waste management into a sustainable economic opportunity, serving the environment and creating new job opportunities.
He explained that the Ministry of Local Administration supports initiatives aimed at developing the waste management sector, especially those relying on partnerships with the private sector to increase the efficiency of investments in this vital field, and adopting innovative solutions for resource management and enhancing the circular economy.
