Khaberni - The Syrian Counter-Terrorism branch in Aleppo province arrested Abdul Razzaq Barakat, a colonel and former member of the People's Council during the time of the bygone regime.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior reported on its "Telegram" channel that the criminal "Barakat" was involved in suppressing peaceful demonstrations in the city of Homs at the start of the Syrian revolution.
At that time, Barakat held the position of Homs Police Chief, before he was later transferred to the police command of Al-Tabqah city in the countryside of Raqqa governorate. He was subsequently appointed as a member of the People's Council representing the "Progressive National Front".
