Khaberni - Real Madrid announced today, Thursday, the official diagnosis of its right-back Trent Alexander Arnold's injury, following the medical examinations that took place at the club's headquarters.
Arnold suffered the injury during the team's match against Athletic Bilbao, which ended with a 3-0 victory for Los Blancos on Wednesday at San Mames Stadium, in the La Liga competition.
Real Madrid stated in its announcement that the examinations revealed that the player has sustained a muscle tear in the rectus femoris of the quadriceps in his left leg.
The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reports that the English star's injury will keep him out of the next 10 matches, the most notable being against Manchester City, Monaco, and Benfica in the Champions League, as well as the potential absence from the Spanish Super Cup matches if the team qualifies for the final.
The newspaper also noted that Arnold will not be available for the matches against Sevilla, Real Betis, and Deportivo Alaves in La Liga, which represents a significant blow for coach Xabi Alonso, especially as the player had previously missed part of this season due to a similar thigh injury during September.
On the other hand, medical examinations of Eduardo Camavinga revealed that his ankle injury is not serious, and he will undergo continuous medical monitoring in the coming days to determine the possibility of participating in the match against Celta Vigo scheduled for Sunday.
