Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate announced that the course of the Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon will be closed, starting on Friday in Aqaba Governorate on December 5, 2025.
The Directorate indicated that the following streets will be completely closed from 4:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday as follows:
- Al-Farouq Street in both directions entirely (from the point adjacent to the Airport Street to the meeting point with Independence Street).
- All the side streets leading to Al-Farouq Street
- Independence Street up to the Hotels Roundabout
- King Hussein Street – from the Intercontinental Hotel to the Sherif Hussein Bin Ali Roundabout
- Sherif Hussein Bin Ali Roundabout towards the Revolution Plaza in one direction
The Public Security Directorate confirms the use of the following alternative routes during the race time and advises to avoid stopping and parking on the routes that the race will take:
- The Governorate Street
- Sherif Hussein Bin Ali Roundabout in one direction opposite the Movenpick Hotel towards Independence Street
- Independence Street, continue until Al-Muhaddith signals and turn right towards Al-Muhaddith Roundabout
- Tunisian Baths Street
- Authority Street towards the Airport
- The inner streets of Al-Muhaddith Central area
The Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon will feature several races and distances (21 km, 21 km relay, 10 km, 4 km children's race) with participation from elite athletes of various nationalities and genders.
The Public Security Directorate confirmed the readiness of its personnel to secure the race course and accompany its various events, ensuring the safety of participants and citizens, and calls on citizens and drivers to comply with traffic instructions and cooperate with the Public Security personnel.
