Khaberni - YouTube has launched the new "Recap" feature that provides users with comprehensive statistics on their viewing habits during the year 2025, following the evolution of the previous version that was focused only on music and games.
This year, the feature offers a broader view that includes the complete viewing history, with analysis of interests, favorite channels, and following patterns.
The owning company, Google, said in a press release that "YouTube Recap highlights the user's interests and explorations throughout the year, through up to 12 cards that include the top channels and topics, the evolution of viewing behavior, and even the user's personality type according to the videos they enjoyed watching."
The feature has started to appear to users in North America, and it is expected to expand globally within the current week, according to "The Independent" from the UK.
How to Find YouTube Recap 2025
Users can access their annual report via the YouTube app or website, assuming they are logged into their account.
This is done by pressing on the "You" tab, where the "Your Recap is here" button will appear, and if the tab is not visible, it can be accessed directly through this link: youtube.com/Recap.
The Recap feature does not include children under the age of 13 (or the legal age in the user's country), as well as supervised accounts, or accounts that have had their viewing history stopped or auto-delete enabled, as a full record is required for data analysis.
What does the Recap feature offer?
The feature provides a detailed analysis of the user’s habits, which includes:
- The most viewed videos.
- The most followed channels.
- The interests the user delved into.
- Categorization of the user's digital personality among more than 11 types.
