Khaberni - The national karate team players marked a notable presence in the latest updates of the world rankings issued, following a series of distinguished results they achieved at the recently held World Championship in Cairo, Egypt, which reflected directly on their position in the world rankings.

One of the most significant gains for the team came through the substantial leap achieved by Afif Ghaith in the under 67 kg weight class, after his well-deserved gold medal win at the World Championship, following his remarkable victory in the final match against the world number one, the Moroccan Said Obaya, with a score of 6-0, mounting the podium for the first time in his career, thus rising to the third position globally with 4680 points, registering a notable advancement, according to Al-Ghad.
At the same time, the star of the national team, Mohammed Al-Jaafari, moved down to the second position in the global ranking for the under 84 kg weight class, after earning the bronze medal, holding 6735 points, and his strongest rival, the Egyptian Yousuf Badawi, advanced to the first position in the ranking after claiming the gold medal at the World Championship.
Player Abdel Rahman Al-Masatafeh fell from the eighth to the twelfth position in the under 67 kg weight class, with 2625 points.
Despite this relative decline, Al-Masatafeh remains one of the world's leading players in his weight class, and he enjoys a prestigious record of achievements.
National team player Abdullah Hammad continued his upward trajectory in the under 60 kg weight class, achieving a new advance by reaching the twelfth position globally with 2055 points, after the strong performances he delivered in the World Championship competitions, which earned him significant points in his international account, bringing him closer to entering the top ten.
In the youth categories, the young national team players continued to excel, where Hani Rashid in the cadet category climbed to the fourth position globally in the under 55 kg weight class after advancing one place, raising his score to 1455 points.
Rashid is considered one of the most prominent promising talents that the federation relies on to continue producing a new generation capable of international competition.
In the youth category, Qasim Al-Omari managed to reach the twentieth position in the over 70 kg weight class, holding 380 points, a position that reflects his continual improvement in performance, especially with his increasing participation in international youth competitions that grant him greater experience.
Among the women, national team player Jood Al-Daraws maintained her presence among the best international players in the under 68 kg weight class, where she occupies the thirty-second position with 1125 points, with expectations of further advancement during her upcoming participations, especially in Asian and international tournaments.
